Aloha,
I’m David Burns, a web designer, photographer, and graphic artist from the Big Island of Hawaii. I have extensive experience in photography, video, multimedia, web design and graphics. I hold A.S. and B.S. degrees in fine art and commercial photography, respectively.
While I’ve been in Hawaii for over 20 years, I previously worked at Software Cinema, a photography and Photoshop training company. As Director of Product Development I was responsible for the production of training content presented on DVD and streamed on their website. During this time I was on the Photoshop and Lightroom Beta teams for Adobe, as well as working directly with partner companies such as Nik Software, X-Rite, Canon, Epson and more. I designed and created their website and all it’s graphics, as well as production of the training videos and streaming technology.
Here on the Big Island I have worked with Robbyn Peck at Hilo Fine Art Center preparing images for print on large roll printers and printing, coating and stretching large canvas and paper prints. I have held classes there covering Photoshop techniques and workflow. I have also done much work in Adobe Illustrator creating technical drawings and illustrations, as well as some CAD design for house plans. Most recently I owned and operated Kahonua LLC, a Web design company in Keaau, Hawaii.
From my vast experience with major corporations to small business individuals I have learned excellent communication and project management skills and am very sensitive to client needs.
